Poof! Had far too much to drink! Been out to luncheon - tee hee got into LBD just with the aid of magic knickers! These are hideous contraptions because where ever you trap the fat it has got to come out somewhere! Anyway I hope it was well disguised!
Now washed and hanging on the Aga ready for tomorrow for next party. Hopefully will fit into Armani suit - well I must knock 'em dead mustn't I?
Today's party was entertaining although yes - cold beef, poached salmon and guess what - coronation chicken - AGAIN! When will party people ever learn? I had double helpings of rare roast beef only - let's face it who wants poached salmon and coronation chicken! The booze flowed freely and so it should for birthday party - let's face it we are only on this planet for a short time and we must make the most of it. The Duchess picked me up on the way past and transported me home again. Bless her. Charles and Esme were in attendance along with about some 60 other people. Charles was on good form I am pleased to report, I just love him to pieces. It's just a thing I have. The Duchess and I are going to holiday to her little abode by the river in late September and then we are off to N. Ireland where she is going to have a pointer in training. This will relieve some of the boredom of the winter. Esme, Angie and I have decided it would be a good thing to take up walking although I could not get Esme interested in walking the Wicklow Way! I shall have to do this walk on my own unless Camilla wants to do it! Anyway Angie thought it a good idea that we might walk the Giant's Causeway to Belfast and Esme agreed, so we may do this at sometime in the future. I stay at an excellent hotel in the middle of Belfast (for racing) and a stones throw away from my favourite restaurant over there, Cayenne, Paul Rankin's gaff.
I have checked in all my guests - thank heavens for foreigners this weekend, they comprise 80% of my bookings, obviously they have the money. I have in New Zealanders, Germans, Italians and Dutch an a couple of Brits. The Brits in the working class obviously have no money to spend on holidays. Oh dear, they have no money because they overspent in this age of consumerism and this has now come back to bite them! Serves them right - but this is of no help to my business!
Not only do I possess an Apple Mac I now am the proud owner of an iPad. All this technology is too much to behold! I am not quite attached at the hip to the iPad as I do not quite know how to use it but I am getting to grips with it. What next - an iPhone?
The nags are fit and well. The best vet in the whole of the kingdom has visited and proclaimed my second horse well and can go into training (albeit his knee is a bit squiffy - but apparently nothing to worry about!). So posh horse and half brother will be out an away in another 3 weeks. Just watch Camilla's inheritance being squandered away! And then I learn that Brendan has a couple of legs in some nags, and he should know better, and not only that but Bill has just sold his best pointer to Camilla's ex boyfriend's mother for a vast sum, but she can afford it! Good old Bill! Apparently she is a bad loser so I hope the nag comes up to expectations!
