I was sitting in the chair having a snooze when the doorbell rang. The Ridley Tiddleys car battery is flat. The AA is coming to get them going - this is the 2nd time in a week. They keep leaving their lights on apparently. What can I say. 14 days down 7 to go! After a very busy weekend I need to sleep.
Camilla has just bought an IPhone and is going to give me her old phone. This is excellent as I keep dropping mine and the memory seems to be only working a half speed. She is also going to give me her IPod with 4000 songs on it as her new phone can take them too. This is very exciting although who can possibly listen to 4000 songs I am sure I have no idea. Her new beau come down from up country for the weekend and he has an IPad for sale so I think I may buy this as well as this will fit into my handbag and will be good to go! He has got some tickets to see Take That at Wembley in a couple of weeks. Much as I love Robbie Williams standing (they are standing tickets) in amongst 100,000 people is definitely not my bag. When Antoinette and I went to see Elton John we had seats!
Sybil and I went to a charity lunch yesterday which was held in Elizabeth's garden. The views were quite stunning and the sun was shining and I got a good bit of sun tan. The average age of the guests I imagine to be somewhere in the region of 75 and that's only because I helped bring the age down! Both Sybil and I won prizes in the raffle, but I declined mine as it seemed a bit greedy!
Anyway what good are biscuits to me when I am trying to diet. I am absolutely starving but as I still cannot get into my clothes and the first party is looming on Sunday, needs must! I am determined to look like a stick insect! I met Victoria for coffee today as she was rained off and couldn't play tennis - she wanted me to stay for a sandwich but I declined
I had some guests check in who had come over from the Channel Islands. Their Condor ferry lost an engine on the journey so they limped over slowly. When it arrived they could not disembark as the back doors would not open! I don't think I will be using this service, with my luck it would probably sink!
