Cynthia has had a baby boy. Well done old girl. Charles and Esme are grandparents. Well Charles is already a grandparent and a great grandparent but Esme is a grandparent for the first time. The Duchess and I are so envious - we want to be grandparents too! Because Cynthia has had her spog in Canada we are going to to wet the baby's head in her absence. This is happening this week. Gilbert and Antoinette are coming round as is Charles. Esme is away with Rachel - she will be sorry! Hillie and Brendan are also coming (they are bringing the champagne). We are going to have a FABULOUS fruits de mer. When I do seafood, I DO seafood. As soon as Camilla heard the menu she is hot footing it back from France to be in attendance!
I went to the hairdressers yesterday - I turned up the week before by mistake - I don't think it was my mistake, I think it was the stupid receptionist - who knows? I have to book an appointment 6 months in advance, but if you want the best this is what you have to do. I am now booked in the for next year. Anyway I have had a style change and 82 quid later I am still thinking about it, although someone did say I was looking younger every day - so it must be worth the money! I positively must look my best for a party next weekend. As of, I still cannot get into my LBD, but I still have a few days to go! The diet continues!
Geraldine is off to Ibiza tomorrow with her sister - I do hope she doesn't frazzle. It has been so hot here today I could only manage 1 hour in the sunshine, trying to top up my suntan then I thought I was going to melt. My next door neighbour phoned to say he thought it would be a plan to cut my grass tomorrow and make some hay, so instead of languishing in the cool I had to plod round the fields to check for ragwort before the grass is cut. That took 2 hours and now I am burnt to a cinder - I am sure my nose will peel! How is this going to look?
I went out last night and isn't it sods law - when I returned my guests were banging on the door as their lights has fused and they were in the dark. This is the second time this week that this has happened. What am I meant to do - stay in! I think in future I will have to check people in and then show them where the fusebox is, just in case! If they want someone on site all of time they will have to pay more - I"m not a bloody hotel!
